Course Information

Dates : The lecture will take place fortnightly (with a few adjustments) on the following Mondays between 8:15 am and 12:00 am:

Note that the recording from FS 2022 is just for informational purposes. The material required for the exam is defined by what has been said in this year's lecture. If you have missed the lecture, then you may check with your colleagues.

Registration: All participants must officially register for the lecture, and will be added to the team MI0032: IT Security (FS 2023) in MS Teams. Note that the lecture is not on OLAT.

Exam: The exam will take place on June 12, 2023, from 9 and 10 am, in lecture hall SOD-1-102 (Schönberggasse 9, 8001 Zürich). Note that this hall is located in Zürich (instead of Oerlikon) and that it is different from the seminar room in which the lecture has taken place during the semester. Make sure that you are a few minutes before 9 am in the hall, since we will start exactly at 9 am.

Study Material

Instead of execises, students are required to self-study cryprography based on a text that is available here. The text refers to draft chapters 1 and 2 of a book entitled "Cryptography 101: From Theory to Practice" that was published in 2021. Questions are highly appreciated and can be asked at any time during the lecture.
